The Valley Zoo is the perfect place to throw a picnic, barbecue or party. When you book an event during the day, you’ll have exclusive access to the Valley Zoo’s Tented Picnic Site and everyone in your party will have access to all public exhibits including the children's zoo, daily elephant demonstration, wolf interpretive talk, and birds of prey flight demonstration.

- Access to indoor animal exhibits

Non-Exclusive Daytime Summer

Rental Fee: $28.00 per hour, 2 hour minimum fee of $56.00
*Admission (summer): Child – $4.00; Youth and Senior – $6.00; Adult – $8.00
*Admission with Rides: Child – $8.75; Youth and Senior – $13.00; Adult – $17.25
*Note: A minimum of 10 paid admissions are required to qualify for the discounted admission rates noted above.

- Access to all public indoor and outdoor exhibits and animal demonstrations
- Tables and chairs in Saito Centre, subject to availability
Food Service Options for Exclusive or Non-Exclusive Summer Rentals:
The recognized concessionaire at the Valley Zoo is Eurest Business Dining (Beaver Foods). For menu options, please call 780-489-5204 or 780-461-5493. Alternatively, you are also welcome to select the caterer of your choice. Potluck events are also permitted at the Valley Zoo, providing all potluck foods are prepared in commercial health-inspected facilities. A waiver form must be signed and returned to your Facility Representative to proceed with a potluck event.
Please note the Valley Zoo does not provide food or beverage service equipment, with the exception of tables and chairs. Cooking facilities are not available at the Valley Zoo. Rented propane barbecue units are permitted on site.
Payment Information:
An initial payment equal to 50% of all estimated rental charges is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due up to two months prior to your event. Park admission tickets, if required for your event, must be purchased a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the event date. Payment options include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or cheque payable to “The City of Edmonton”. All facilities and services are subject to availability. Prices are subject to change without notice.
