The Valley Zoo has lots of free parking for vehicles of all shapes and sizes – all just a short walk to the front gates.
It’s easy to get around the zoo
The Valley Zoo is committed to ensuring everyone has the opportunity to enjoy all the Zoo has to offer. A great deal of the Zoo grounds is wheelchair accessible and walkways inside the Zoo are a combination of paved and gravel surfaces. The grounds surrounding the entrance to the Zoo include some steeper-than-normal inclines.
Wheelchair accessible areas include:
- Parking area
- Main entrance
- Walkways around the Zoo
- Elephant viewing area inside the Elephant Building
- Centre Washrooms in the Saito Centre and administration building
- Power door access into the Saito Centre and administration building
- Unisex washrooms in First Aid room in the administration building
- Picnic site close to camels
- Power scooter and wheelchair rentals are available (summer season only)
