The Edmonton Valley Zoo is proud of its commitment to conservation.
Green Team in Action:
The Edmonton Valley Zoo's staff green team is responsible for reviewing the Zoo's practices and procedures. This includes energy use, eco-procurement, waste reduction, atmospheric protection, water conservation, low-impact landscaping, green building practices, and ecological stewardship.
Our goal is to reduce the Zoo's impact on the environment and to also impact the actions of visitors while on site. Every small step will lead to big change.
